Our Mission
Paws for Progress' mission is to create a compassionate and responsible community where the welfare of both animals and citizens thrives harmoniously. We are dedicated to addressing the pressing issues of stray cats and dogs in Ladonia and Fannin, Hunt & Delta Counties. We embark on a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need.
About Us
We are a small, scrappy group of animal lovers, concerned citizens and a few long-time animal rescue volunteers that decided to combine our skills and time to help the numerous animals that are abandoned, illegally dumped, unloved and uncared for in our rural county northeast of Dallas, Texas.
Our Adoption Process
We believe in finding the best match between our animals and their forever homes. Our adoption process involves communicating with potential adopters about their pet of interest, an application, reference checks, a home visit (when possible), a meet and greet (when possible), an adoption fee and out-of-state transport (when needed). We know each animal in our care is relying on us to find a safe, loving and reliable home for them and we take our responsibility seriously.
